    Gaming equipment

Right now I'm just using a basic keyboard, is there a better one that people recommend for general gaming?

My mouse isn't bad, it's a wireless with lots of extra buttons, but nontheless, if you have a favorite, please post.

The Logitech G15 gaming keyboard is amazing. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...logitech%2bg15

The attached LCD screen is awesome and since it interfaces w/ WoW theres always a bunch of information right there at your fingertips. I've found that assigning long macros to the G keys to be a little frustrating (though I think I'm the only one) but overall I think it's been a great purchase.

I've also got a Razer Copperhead mouse lost somewhere in the UPS system. If your still interested when the darn thing actually gets to montana I'll let you know how it's working out. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826153105

I also use the Logitech G15 with my Mac Pro. Works great for gaming.

I use the Ideazon MERC Gaming Keyboard.

It took a little getting used to, but once It was configured, I could hit 45+ keys without ever moving the palm of my hand. Plus at >$40 it was a steal. It also comes with pre-configurations for most of the current games including WoW and BF2. For first person shooters, I don't think I could ever go back to a standard keyboard.

1 major downside to this.. If you actively use the number pad you will not like this layout. But, if you're using it for macro's, movement, or something else aside from number crunching you really shouldn't need it.

I have a Microsoft Sidewinder Strategic Commander. I got my first one used from a friend; it lasted from Tribes 2 to BF2 before some of the buttons started dying. They don't make it anymore, but I found a mint-condition replacement for $20 on Ebay. Ironically, I don't use it for RTS games, only for FPS's.

Thanks guys, I ordered the G15. Best Buy wanted $101 for it, plus tax. Mail order was $71, no shipping, and I get a $15 rebate - so hmm... $56 or $101...

My mouse is pretty good, so I'm just keeping it. It is wireless, but that seems to not be a problem. I'm curious Nuts, why the special mousepad?
