Just a side note ... that piece dates from a radio address in 1973. Still very good. Mr. Sinclair died in 1984.

was sent to me by email today, just the saying meant alot to me havnt heard it before, ironic, seems a great many people have all these great feelings inside, sad that it does take a national tradgedy to act on feelings.

Yeah, it is a great piece. I didn't mean to diminish it ... it's just making the rounds on email right now. It was written in reaction to the bashing of America about the Vietnam War, but it is still quite true.

There's also a fake prophecy by Nostradamus making the rounds about "two twin brothers" falling. It is, in toto ... false. Someone just made it up and attributed it to Nostradamus.
Disregard it if you receive it in email. I've gotten three copies of Sinclair's speech and at least four copies of the Nostradamus "prophecy"

But like you said, it is a shame that it takes a national disaster to bring our country together. We shine in adversity. So often, we focus on trivial things and forget what's important.

The nicest thing our Arab friends could do for us right now is to increase oil production and drop the price on a barrel of crude. The major thing that has attributed to the economic slow-down over the past year has been the price of oil which greases the wheels of capitalism world wide.

They ought to put their money where their mouth is do the right thing.

If you were a zombie and I had to kill you, I'd feel sad.
