Thanks, this could be a good help. Having just a lowly GF2 MX 32mb, I need to try and tweak things as much as possible so my fps stays above 30. Ohh... just wait until I someday get that GF3... I can just taste the yummy smoothness.

Don't count your frames before they hatch, buddy... My GF3 is heaving to keep above 30fps, even overclocked to GF3 Ti500 levels... T2 is a whore...

Hmm, My GF3 rarely gives me below 70fps... wonder what's up with that...?
The sun has fallen down
And the billboards are all leering
And the flags are all dead at the top of their poles.
My FPS is all over the place. Running around inside by myself I'm up at 100FPS. Oustide by myself - around 60FPS. Outside in a fire-fight sometimes I sometimes drop into the teens!
Wassup wit dat?

At least you guys can play. I usualy can't get through the login screen without crashing, much less play a game (Unhandled exception).
It used to work with my rig. Gonna rebuild the OS this weekend though for other reasons so maybe after the reformat I can Tribe again, one of the patches destroyed T2 for me and I ain't the only one... there are other unlucky souls out there.

Just did some tweaking of my system based on some of the recommendation in this guide. I increased my FPS by about 10-20FPS overall while maintaining good overall video quality.
Wid - check out the latest patch, get your latest vid drivers, and check out some of the more recent tech posts concerning T2 problems.
We could use an extra hand in T2.

I had the same problem, Z: very powerful system with mediocre frame rates. After reading Bribo's post, I realized what my problem was: Vsynch must be disabled. It causes a huge performance hit with negligible effect on quality.
Once I changed that, my frame rates doubled, and I was able to turn up everything else.
