After getting through half of it shortly after it came out, then neglecting it for a few years, I started over on Bioshock and played straight through. It may be the greatest game I've ever played. If you haven't played it, do yourself a favor.

Today only, Games for Windows Marketplace offers downloads of Bioshock for Windows for $1.99. That's $3 under our December mention and the lowest price we've seen this title. (By comparison, Steam charges $19.99.) A free Xbox Live account is required in order to purchase games; however, you'll need to upgrade to a Gold membership in order to access certain online game content.

Loved this game. The sequel wasn't as good but still worth it as well, especially if you can find it at a bargain bin price.
Played and finished Bioshock (1) and can vouch for how good it is. The only nit I would pick is the lack of variety in the opponents you are presented with. I mean there are a LOT of citizens in party masks...

And the flags are all dead at the top of their poles.

It IS a little like taking out the cast of Eyes Wide Shut, isn't it?
Side note: I noticed on SlickDeals this morning that the original game is available for $1 on Microsoft's "Games Live" store.
I LOVED the first Bioshock. I played and got the two main endings. I totally agree with you Palooka.
