I'll be there!
I may even be able to make it. I just got my broadband connection today.
I went, 10:30 my time 930 PDT. 50 all together. And a 66 ping and I still laged on my machine.
Im abit upset wit it tho. I shot a chopper at point blank range, hovering, with 2 shots from a tank, and it didnt go BOOM. can you guess what the chopper did to me?

Whoa, I was already off to bed by that time. But I had similar problems throughout the night--lag whenever a firefight broke out. Tank shells and explosions seemed to cause more problems than M16 and AK47 fire. My ping never went above 150 (spent most of the night in the 90-100 range) and I had my graphics settings all the way down (though I'd think my 128 MB Radeon 9500 would have been sufficient.)
I didn't have a bit of lag all night, and I'm on the east coast. FWIW.

There is a suggestion about using
render.lockFPS <#> to set you max FPS.
Setting it to a LOWER frame rate 20-30 can free up resources and smooth things out a bit.
I dont know about it, as I cant get this command to work. Anybody else know the commands??
