I do admire John McCain, he can be very insightful at times. Other times you wonder where he is coming from.

However, I try to keep in mind that the guy was held in one of the worst prison camps anyone could have been in for 5 years, and I'm sorry, but there is no way one is ever toatlly right in the head again after that.

I read his autobiography, it was a great book. I realize he still blames himself for giving that interview in Hanoi, but I think he's a hero. I really do not know how well I would have held up in those conditions. Even with all the training I had, it is still a nightmare I would not wish on anyone.

McCain was great on SNL....

Especially singing Streisand, "IF she can do my job so well, maybe I'll do hers...."

Honestly, I had him picking Condi Rice a year ago, but not now b/c of her public image after the 9/11 commission crap. But I wouldn't count out Mr. Powell, that's who I think it would be.
