Wednesday BF2

Stitch "Big Sissie" Jones was the only no show lastnight. Definitely a good time Ab, Camel, DD, Nuts, DiscoStu, Hylander, Katana's Blade, Beast and msyelf had a blast lastnight and I am looking forward to more fun nights like this.

The only blast I had last night was from the lightning strikes. It kept sending my DSL synch in and out.

However, even before that... the 1.3 patch has pretty much hosed BF2 for me. I can't get the servers to update in the browser.... well, every once in awhile I get maybe 60 - 80 total, but it takes like 10 minutes.

When I attempted to connect by IP, it failed on both attempts. Everything was working fine the last time I played a month or two ago with Special Forces. I guess I'll try again one of these nights to see if it was just the weather - but I suspect from reading all the forums and complaints/problems with 1.3 that it's just a FUBAR'd installation and I'm not feeling up to uninstalling-reinstalling all over again with the patches, etc.

That was so much fun, I ordered Special Forces. I'm uninstalling and reinstalling my server this morning due to the "version mismatch" error last night. I'm looking forward to playing more!

I got the game loaded, patched to 1.3, and managed to play a game from start to finish. Knocked some rust off, now I need to regain my knowledge of all the various menus/zooming/controlling keys.

I guess I'll have to wipe the dust off this game and give it another go.

Definitely do Palooka we have been having a lot of fun, some of us are a little rusty but that will go away soon enough

Might be pre-mature, but TWL does 5, 8, 12 and 15 man BF2 ladders. We could practice over the summer and maybe field a team in the Fall. Just a thought.
