I used the blitzkreig doctrine tree this time around. I relied on the "resource blitz" ability for a lump sum of manpower at the expense of ammunition points. I needed the excess manpower to field the Tiger and StuH urban assault squads. At 1000, and 700 manpower points respectively, they aren't cheap, but you get the heavy armor and a squad of stormtroopers.
I went Airborne. It's the tree I know best. My problem was I got behind the curveball so I was using resources just to build the basic infantry and engineers needed to operate. By then, I rarely had enough manpower to produce the airborne or anti-tank to drop in behind the enemy line. Of course, this only works against more than one tank when you have the front lines to keep the tanks occupied. If not, it results in what happened to me.. when you finally drop the AT, it's getting pummeled by a tank before it gets set up.

I can definitely be there--CoH or R6 are both fine with me.

If we have 4, lets go COH. If we don't, RSV is fine as well.

You missed a CoH match, a real corker at that. Palooka and Beast had an allied goal line stand with 28 points left on the board. They completely annihilated the axis war machine which held 235 points at games end.

And just as I was about to drive the nail into their allied coffin.

Man, I'm really looking forward to doing a 2 on 2 with 4 'live' people!

Yeah--that was great fun. I might well hop on Saturday night for some gaming while I watch whichever one of the NFL wild card games is that night (Giants don't play till Sunday, so I don't mind a little "distracted viewing".) Failing that, I'll definitely be on next week.

I have a company "Holiday" Party to attend, which I plan to blow off by 8:30 so I can get home and watch the rest of the Seahawks game.

I think it's high time that Faxman TheBeast and good ol' Palooka get back into the WoW folds. The launch crew is pretty much back in and swinging.

It's still a war, but only with outfits that are much more colorful and emotes which are very entertaining.

I'm still toying with the notion of Burning Crusade, to check out the new races and zones. But I more than likely won't be joining the raids even if I should return--I about raided myself out last summer.

One of the major changed in the expansion I am looking forward too is the reduced number of people required for raids.

There are no more 40 man raids being implimented into the Xpac but instead will focus on 5, 10, 15 man content with the BIG raid dungeons being 25 man raids only.

It will be nice being able to go into a dungeon with 100% AK folks and not having to pull resources from other guilds to fill a 40 man.

It will also be nice to have teh ability to get together with your close buds and tackle a 5 or 10 man instance. This will force more people to be on top of thier game and not just float through an instance as one in the masses.

I still feel better about myself taking on UD strat in 45 minutes than I do doing MC in a night.
