"The study also mentions that more than half the children in the study have TVs in their bedrooms, more than three-quarters have McDonald's toys at home, and one-third ate at McDonald's more than once a week."
I heard this report on the news this morning but of course the media will leave out the small details... like those that I listed above. These kids are not lured in by the McDonald's Corporation.... they are lead there by their lazy-ass parents that substitute family meals with drive-thru convenience. And trust me, it's not the TV that does it either. I doubt that my kid would like anything that came out of a Captain Morgan bottle just because he saw it on TV. These ass-hat parents that give their kids fast food are conditioning them. It's a Pavlovian response... not evil marketing.
Amen Nuts........as a parent I mold the child I want at this point. My 2 year doesnt even watch tv, she loves to flip thur books all the time. My wife and I make it a point to cook healthy food at least 5-6 nights out of the week.
