What do you think of Mike Holmgren?????
I think he's a great coach, and a promising GM who has had to make some tough decisions regarding the team. For lack of a better word, the team is "rebuilding", and is now going through the rollercoaster typical of that process. I expect the team to finish at or about 8-8 this season, and return to the playoffs next year.
If these things happen, then I'll be very happy with Holmgren indeed.
The sun has fallen down
And the billboards are all leering
And the flags are all dead at the top of their poles.
I think that's reasonable.....
I have a feeling they will be back in the playoffs soon......
You have a very promising running back for the future, that's for sure.....
I think my Eagles stink!!! *Devil_Dog jumps up and down on his Eagle's cap*
*Clears Throat* - The August Knights are very fortunate to have two Seattle Seahawk fans among its ranks
Squidly and I are acquaintances from the Seahawks newsgroup and he is the one who invited me to check AK out (Hopefully he won't lose any standing in AK for doing so! )

The Eagles are another team that seems to be struggling to find it's identity.
There are very few "sure bets" this year in the NFL.

Hylander,
You are a Seahawks fan?????
You only live an hour away from me, if that.....
What was it that turned you????
Was it the terrible years with Norman Bramen as the owner????
*Devil_Dog spits on his name*
Or was it the ineptitude of Richy Kotite????
Or Possibly the fact that the Eagles never win a single game that they are supposed too?????
Or could it be that Andy Reid couldn't call an offensive play between cheese steaks!!!!!
*Devil_Dog throws his Eagle's cap into the fire*
I'm OK now, I'm fine.....
That is true Squidly....
There are no sure bets, but you know, I honestly like it this way...
You never know who will make it to the big show....
Well, that's not true, I can assure you that the stinkin' no throwing, no first down, can't get a TD Eagles won't make it to the Super Bowl.....
*Devil_Dog throws his autographed Donavon McNabb jersey into the fire*
I'm OK.... I can handle this.....
Heh, I probably live even closer to Philly than Hy does... (South Jersey...)

lol... that's probably true....
Why do you like the Seahawks instead of the Eagles or the Giants???
Because I lived in 5 different states and 3 different countries before the age of 17, and didn't start following professional football seriously until college.
I don't know exactly what caused me to notice the Seahawks, but once I did, there was no turning back.

Wow!!!!
You really moved around a lot!!!!
Was your Dad in the Military????
Yeah, I guess it's kind of that way for me with the Eagles, I could never turn my back on them...
No matter how much they hurt me....
Their killing me right now!!!!! lol....
LOL
I'm actually from Upstate New York. Lived there until I was 21, lived in Virginia for 4 years, and then moved to Bethlehem.
I actually became a Seahawks fan when they entered the league. They came along about the same time I was getting into football as a 'youngn'. I liked their Helmets and uniforms so thats how I became a Seahawks fan. Then Zorn to Largent era and I was hooked =)
I pretty much can't stand any NY teams, although I use to like the Bills a bit when I was younger back when they had Cribbs and Ferguson, etc (Pre-Jim Kelly days).
I'm also a Houston Astros fan... so geography doesn't play much into my teams Although I'm not a huge basketball fan, my team is the 76ers. Also, when it comes to college teams, Penn State and Virginia Tech.

That's cool, I remember whenthey came into the league too, I thought their uniforms were cool also....
You a fan of Highlander???
The first movie is my favorite of all time....
LOL - This is a long one
From what I know of my ancestry, they came from Wales and the Scottish Highlands. My name is Scott (No.. really! <G>). I then went to Radford University, which is "The Highlanders". Then of course, I loved the Highlander movies and series. Here in Bethlehem, there is a very large Celtic Fest which takes place downtown and the kid down the street plays the bag pipes!
Something tells me the Highlander theme belongs in my life somehow
