Often there are several sources for free Federal tax software that can be downloaded and used. Some are better than others. Does anyone have a recommendation for one who won't be taking the standard deduction, but instead will be doing full 1040?

I have been using freetaxusa.com for years. I don't think it's available in all 50 states, though. I've never had a very complicated tax return, but I believe it has full capabilities.
I've always used turbotax online. No problems and its very simple to use. Steps you right through it all.
Thanks! Aren't you two supposed to be paying attention to the raid right now?

TurboTax user over the past 5 years. Never a problem except with their annual subscription/purchase option. I save $$$ by buying the next years version early. They never sent a confirmation e-mail and I forgot about it. They charged my CC and mailed the software to my old residence. Smoooooth.

Call your Congressman! Write your Senator! The US tax code sucks! Too complicated! Too inefficient and wasteful! We need the VAT tax!

If you were a zombie and I had to kill you, I'd feel sad.
We have a program with TurboTax here at the Credit Union and I've been using it (TurboTax Online) for several years and it's worked very well - especially with the Schedule C for business, etc.
