Bummer!
I guess in order to play I'll need to pay someone to level me before winter starts. It doesn't look like I'll have time for effort until after December. I was sort of hoping that it would be less intense than WoW.

If you have Steam you can do the pre-order right through there
Beaker, for a small fee I'll level you up a toon in time for the holidays
At least for the time being I'm done with games requiring (or enticing) great gobs of my time. These MMOs are like potato chips. Once you eat one you can't help but finish the whole damn bag.

If you were a zombie and I had to kill you, I'd feel sad.
Here is a link to an article posted on MMORPG.com concern the market system.
Here is a blurb from that article below:
Assuming that you are just starting your career in Aion, you probably won't be interested in buying a lot of stuff right away, and you certainly won't be able to afford anything of high value even if you wanted to. But there is plenty of opportunity to sell items and start making some decent cash from the very start.
There are four ways to sell items in Aion:
* NPC vendors
* direct trade
* private shops
* trade brokers

If anyone gets their hands on an extra Beta Key for this weekend, let me know. I have a friend who would like to try it out, and hasn't been able to locate a key.
I made a Mage and I am now playing!
Server: Siel
Race: Asm.
Name: Agoy (old school!)
I'm Etaoin on the same server/faction

That way, you'll be a mile ahead of them.
And out of range for heals.
And die.
And blame it on them."

***Taking a small gaming break while I play the ultimate RTS...Parenthood***
I'll be back on in a few hours, need to do the family thing.
I've also got a mage on the good side named Echoe.
Definitely think I'll be ordering this game - can't wait to see some pvp action though!
I'm bouncing around on different characters to see what class I like, so let me know when you'll be on. You can't add anyone to your friends list unless they are online, so I won't notice when you log on.
