I'm with you on the 'comfort' factor. I don't mind being slower, but I do not want to be a moving chicane for anyone. I don't get on the track in a race until I feel I have solid control of the car under all circumstances.

As far as mixed racing, It is definitely a doubled edged sword. However, in a league - you should have some control over policing and who is involved.

I thought the 2.4Hrs of Daytona was going to be a wreckfest and it turned out the be the greatest racing event I was ever involved in. I had an absolute blast and the guys in that race were extremely safe, polite, and courteous on the track. I thought you could get a top 10 by just finishing, but I think only 2 or 3 cars dropped out of the race.
