That's very similar to the system I built a few months ago:

    • Windows 7 Ultimate Edition
    • Intel i7-2600K Processor (3.4GHz)
    • ASUS P8P67 PRO LGA 1155 Intel P67 (SATA 6Gbps and USB 3.0) DDR3 ATX Motherboard
    • 8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800)
    • Corsair Air Series A50 Performance CPU Cooler CAFA50
    • BFG GS-650 Power Supply
    • EVGA GeForce GTX 470 Superclocked 1280mb Video Card
    • Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB 3GB SATA 7200 RPM 32 MB Cache (Primary Drive)
    • Western Digital 640 GB Caviar Black SATA 7200 RPM 32 MB Cache (Data Drive)
    • Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer 7.1 Sound Card
    • DELL UltraSharp 2209WA 22″ Wide Aspect Flat Panel LCD Monitor
    • DELL UltraSharp 2005FPW 20.1-inch Wide Aspect Flat Panel LCD Monitor with Height Adjustable Stand
    • LG 24X DVD±R Super-Multi DVD Burner with Lightscribe

I did not pull the trigger on SSD yet. I'm just not fully comfortable with it in terms of soundness for my primary workstation yet - however I'm getting closer, particularly as the cost per MB continues to fall. Once I can get a 240GB at a 'reasonable' price, I'll probably make the move over.

I'll see how BF3 goes in October, but I may have to upgrade the video card to keep pace with it.

I've upgraded to Cooler Master 200mm fans so instead of 15fans, I now operate with 4! You should see this thing hover!!!
    Case: Cooler Master HAF-922

Got everything in today still putting it together limited time today and tomorrow but hopefully will get it done. This case is unlike any I have seen and will have great airflow but will require a lot of cleaning which is my only complaint. Other than that though the case Rocks I'll post some pics once it is all together and functioning.

There was also a Rocks sighting in my office on Monday. The old man of the war looks good!

OK, ok... there was a StitchJones sighting as well. It was a regular AK house party.
